La Cascina del Fattore, having been unoccupied for decades, was restored in the past few years by a London-based, Anglo-Italian couple with the help of local architect, Carlo Brocardo.
The house is surrounded by vineyards. It has beautiful views over the valley towards Novello, the plain beyond and, weather permitting, the Alps behind Cuneo. Monviso is the tallest mountain on view.
The house stands on 2000mq of land. At the front there is a landscaped garden and an infinity pool. Behind the house there is a newly planted orchard.
The house is in Localita’ Ornati, down the hill from the main piazza of Monforte d’Alba. It is a ten to fifteen minute walk, or two minute drive, to the village from the house.
Monforte has many shops (including a mini-market and a bakery), bars and restaurants (see further below), several banks and a pharmacy.
